NOTE: PLEASE PRACTICE OFF LEASH OUTSIDE WITH THE LONG LINE. OTHERWISE, YOU CAN PRACTICE THESE WITHOUT A LEASH INSIDE. HOWEVER, IF SHE STARTS TO BE CONFUSED OR HAVE A PROBLEM, YOU CAN ALWAYS SLIP THE LEASH BACK ON TO REINTRODUCE THE EXERCISE. Homework Schedule: Calming Exercises (You Can Rotate These on Different Days) : Sit on the Dog 30 + minutes Goal: To get your dog to lay down on their own steam in five minutes or under. Week 3 Change: Practice this with her in more distractions (at a park, at a restaurant that allows dogs on the deck, at the beach especially the picnic tables and benches at Long Sands at the bath house). Long Place 30 minutes to start Goal: To get your dog comfortable and more relaxed staying on their place for five minutes.
